‘Eastern Sudanese students must pay for minibus’: parent

The General Education Department of eastern Sudan’s El Gedaref state has directed the schools in El Faw locality to demand a contribution from the students for the purchase of vehicles.
The schools are to raise SDG10 ($1.65) from each first class student, and SDG2 from the students of class two to eight, an angry parent reported to Radio Dabanga.
According to the letter sent to the schools, the contributions are intended for the purchase of a Toyota Hiace vehicle to be used by members of the El Gedaref Education Department visiting El Faw locality.
