Witnesses told Radio Dabanga that a group of militants attacked the Areekum area of Bielel locality in South Darfur.

Abdelhadi Abdullah, Mohammed Ahmed, Omar Khater, Juma Osman Mohammed, and Adam Abakar, all residents of Areekum, were injured. One of the attackers was also wounded. They were transferred to Nyala Teaching Hospital, but Abdullah later died from his wounds.
