Deadly aerial bombardments have resumed on Darfur’s beleaguered Jebel Marra. One man reportedly died and scores of livestock were lost.

Witnesses told Radio Dabanga that Aboujmal Saleh Ahmed was killed instantly when a barrel bomb dropped from a Sudanese Air Force Antonov exploded near to him in the area of Tring west of Deribat in Darfur’s eastern Jebel Marra at 11 am on Wednesday.

The raid also killed 13 sheep and camels. It caused panic among the local population, many of whom fled for cover in the surrounding mountains, forests, and valleys.
