Darfur rebels claim ‘liberation’ of Bambuni, East Jebel Marra

The Sudan Liberation Army-Abdel Wahid (SLA-AW) claims to have killed nine government troops and wounded others in addition to “liberating the Bambuni area”, east of Deribat, East Jebel Marra. According to the spokesman for the SLA-AW Mustapha Tambour, their troops attacked army forces and militiamen on Saturday.Besides allegedly inflicting the reported casualties, the rebels claimed seizing military vehicles, various equipment, and food supplies.
