Darfur rebels claim ‘liberation’ of Bambuni, East Jebel Marra

The Sudan Liberation Army-Abdel Wahid (SLA-AW) claims to have killed nine government troops and wounded others in addition to “liberating the Bambuni area”, east of Deribat, East Jebel Marra. According to the spokesman for the SLA-AW Mustapha Tambour, their troops attacked army forces and militiamen on Saturday.Besides allegedly inflicting the reported casualties, the rebels claimed seizing military vehicles, various equipment, and food supplies. The Sudan Liberation Army-Abdel Wahid (SLA-AW) claims to have killed nine government troops and wounded others in addition to “liberating the Bambuni area”, east of Deribat, East Jebel Marra.
