Darfur assembly candidate rejects election outcome

An independent candidate for the state legislative assembly in West Darfur has rejected the outcome of the election in South Zalingei (constituency 27). The winner has already been announced. But Ahmed Abakr Hamadin said he filed a complaint with the elections commission, recalling that voters were unable to vote at six polling centers. Hamadin had told Radio Dabanga during the polling that a number of polling stations in South Zalingei area were relocated to other places. When citizens went to vote they did not find the polling sites.
