DERIBAT (15 Mar.) – There are still conflicting reports on the whereabouts of the eastern Jebel Marra commissioner Abdulraoef Abdullah Mohamed. Sources told Radio Dabanga earlier that he was abducted with six other officials and they are out of contact since last Wednesday. Commissioner Abdulraoef made telephone contact with Radio Dabanga and recounted that he went to Deribat last Wednesday after the recent clashes, without being harmed. Sadiq Rokero, the chief of humanitarian affairs of the Sudan Liberation Movement of Abdul Wahid (SLM-AW) said that the SLM captured some military officers and government officials during clashes in Deribat. He added they interrogated them but he declined to give further information or admit to having captured the commissioner.
