Clashes around Kass in West Darfur

An armed group stormed the villages of Kelly, Hashaba and Hileileh, north of Kass in South Darfur. They pillaged the villages and looted cattle and properties including a Land Rover belonging to one of the citizens.

An armed group stormed the villages of Kelly, Hashaba and Hileileh, north of Kass in South Darfur. They pillaged the villages and looted cattle and properties including a Land Rover belonging to one of the citizens. A source told Radio Dabanga there were no casualties and the group fled to an unknown destination. Another source told Radio Dabanga that heavy weapon shelling was heard north of Kass but it was not yet clear who were part of the clashes.   The commissioner of Kass Ali Mahmou al Tayeb Ali did not response to Radio Dabanga on the information.
