Chadian rebels rape two girls north of Kutum, Darfur

The citizens of the Abdel Shakur north of Kutum accused the Chadian opposition of raping two girls in the area of Madal, east of Abdel Shakur on Wednesday. One of the region’s citizens said that four girls and a young man were on their way to a well when gunmen came and raped the two girls in front of the young man who was threatened with weapons. The other two girls escaped. The Chadian force was estimated at 30 vehicles. The citizen reiterated his appeal to the Government and the United Nations to do their part about these violations.
