Chadian rebels attacked by national army on Sudanese border

The Chadian army launched aerial bombardments targeting rebel groups near the border with Sudan. It also sent a military convoy to the region.Sources from Um Dukhun locality in Central Darfur told Radio Dabanga that on 14 November Mi-24 helicopters targeted a group of Chadian rebels near the border town of Tissi.  The sources speculated if the arrival of a joint Sudanese-Chadian forces after the recent fierce tribal clashes between the Misseriya and the Salamat may have a “hidden agenda”.They also pointed to announcements of the Sudanese Minister of Defence, Abdelrahim Hussein and Presidential Advisor, Nafie Ali Nafie, that Sudan will soon start “a major campaign for the final elimination of all armed movements”.
