A high-level Chadian delegation headed by Foreign Minister Moussa Al Feki and the deputy speaker of the Chadian parliament will arrive in Khartoum on Thursday. The delegation also includes four governors representing border regions with Sudan and senior military leaders. The three day visit comes in a bid to implement what was agreed in N’Djamena during the visit of the Sudanese Presidential Advisor Dr Ghazi Salah Eddin recently to Chad. The visiting delegation upon its arrival is expected to engage in a series of meetings with Sudanese officials, including President Al Bashir.
In another development, a delegation representing people of Meilit and the Siah Valley handed a letter to the Presidency demanding the expulsion of the Chadian opposition from their areas. The letter lists numerous violations including looting, pillaging and rape still being committed in the region.
Senior Assistant to the President Mini Minnawi reassured the delegation saying his government will do everything to deal with the issue.
