The Chadian army is preparing to launch a joint military operation with the Sudanese army from its military posts in Darfur, the oppostion group Justice and Equality Movement (JEM) accused on Friday. In a statement signed by Jibril Adam Bilal, the group said, “The leadership of Chad has allocated four bomber jets from Abeche airport and over 100 armored vehicles.”

The information was received from sources in the Chadian army who have been ordered to implement the mission nearly 200 miles inside Sudanese territory, Jibril Adam Bilal said.

Bilal appealed to the Chadian President Idriss Deby to review his position and requested the international community and the Security Council to intervene and prevent Chadian forces from entering into Sudanese territory.
