Babanusa University refuses to accept petitions in favour of banned Darfuri students

The management of the University of Peace in Babanusa, West Kordofan, allegedly refused to accept petitions in favour of the Darfuri students who have been banned on 30 September. The students described the decision on the banning, as well as the refusal to accept petitions, as politically and racially motivated. On Monday, the University of Peace issued a list of 30 students from Darfur banning them from the University for the period of one or two years, following earlier protests of the students against their non-exemption from tuition fees.
