Armed robberies leave three dead in Central Darfur

A man was shot dead and another wounded in an armed robbery in Saraf Majin, Mukjar locality in Central Darfur on Tuesday evening. The robbers then turned on one another, leaving one dead and the other injured.

A witness told Radio Dabanga that two armed militants opened fire on Noureldin Abdelgadir Abdelbshir on the Mukjar -Artala road on Tuesday evening. They shot him dead on the spot and took his money and his motorcycle.

The witness said the gunmen then disagreed over the distribution of the money and the motorcycle and exchanged fire. One of them named Mohammed Mahmoud was killed. The other gunman was injured.

Deleig

Still in Central Darfur, on Wednesday afternoon three paramilitary group members opened fire on three displaced people who were on their way from Bergi village to Deleig. Bahruldin Adam Abdekhalig died on the spot, while the other two went missing.

Tabit

On Tuesday armed herdsmen attacked a group of farmers tilling their land at Sindinigo area, 15 kilometres west of Tabit in North Darfur. The herders beat and whipped them before stealing money, property, food, along with seven donkeys.
