Members of a pro-government militia stormed Saraf Umra town in North Darfur last week, where they released two men from prison who were sentenced to death.

A witness told Radio Dbanga that the militiamen, driving in two vehicles mounted with a Dushka machine gun, stormed the prison in Saraf Umra last week. They heavily fired into the air.

Before the guards were able to close the prison's entrance, the men released two of the prisoners and escaped with them to an unknown destination.
