Presidential candidate for the Sudan People’s Liberation Movement (SPLM) candidate Yassir Arman has suggested President Omar al Bashir to concede his candidacy and to support the SPLM. Arman asked the ruling NCP to allow the SPLM to form a national government seeking consensus with all opposition parties, including those of Al Mirghani, ther previous president. Before, the NCP of Bashir asked Arman not to run for the presidency and wanted the SPLM to support Bashir as a national candidate. Arman revealed to a group of students on Sunday that the NCP had sent four delegations to Juba to try to mould a coalition with the SPLM. Arman says his consensus goverrment will be able to tackle issues of voluntary return, the referendum of self-determination, the Darfur crisis and democratic reform. He added that Sudan is facing various problems in addition to the ICC arrest warrant of Bashir.
