Antonov bombs farmlands in Darfur’s Jebel Marra

The Sudanese Air Force bombed an agricultural area northeast of Jebel Marra on Tuesday. No casualties or damages were recorded. A listener told Radio Dabanga from the area that an Antonov dropped two bombs at the farmlands of Mashrou Abu Zeid. “Fortunately, the blasts torched a few plots only. No one was hit.” The source said that the aircraft must have been providing air cover for a military convoy of 75 armed vehicles en route from El Fasher, capital of North Darfur, to Khazan Tunjur in East Jebel Marra. On 23 November, the area of Khazan Tunjur witnessed heavy clashes between fighters of the Sudan Liberation Movement for Justice, led by Taher Hajar (LJM-TH), and government forces.
