Air raids in Blue Nile kill girl, wound mother

A girl was killed and her mother wounded when an Antonov of the Sudanese Air Force bombarded a village in the area of Yabus, Blue Nile State, on Monday. Speaking to Radio Dabanga, a source reported that on Monday afternoon an Antonov of the Sudanese Air Force dropped four bombs on Gendolo village. Turki John Adam (11) was killed instantly, and her mother, Momta Yama Bolo, was injured. Three other bombs dropped in the area did not cause any casualties. The bombardments caused the majority of the population of Yabus to flee to the nearby valleys and forests.
