90.000 people infected with AIDS

The UN agencies in Sudan revealed that more than 90,000 people are infected with AIDS.The federal ministry of health admitted that Sudan has become a country with a wide-spread epidemic. the representative of the UN organizations Niels Kaspers said in a press conference on Thursday, on the occasion of World AIDS Day, that the rate of the of disease in the Sudan is increasing because of the silence and lack of care.The director of the national program to combat AIDS Ehab Ali Hassan said that Sudan has the highest prevalence in East Africa and the Eastern Mediterranean region. He also claimed that people with AIDS were being discriminated by doctors.
