6 killed and two injured in clash between Gimr clans in South Darfur

Six people were killed and two wounded in a clash between different sections of the Gimr tribe. Sources disclosed that one group of Gimr was attacked on Saturday by fighters of another section of the tribe in the area of Kalgo, South Darfur. The attack killed six and wounded two others who were rushed to Katila hospital. One of them was transferred to the hospital in Nyala, where his condition is described as serious. Sources suggested that the reasons for the fight have to do with lack of commitment to implement the resolutions of the reconciliation conference held last year to settle the feuding between the two groups, which claimed dozens of lives.
