50-year-old man abducted at gunpoint in Central Darfur

A 50-year-old displaced man has been kidnapped in Central Darfur. In a separate incident, six people died in a traffic accident on the Wad Madani-Sennar highway.

A 50-year-old displaced man has been kidnapped in Central Darfur. In a separate incident, six people died in a traffic accident on the Wad Madani-Sennar highway.

On Monday, unidentified gunmen kidnapped 50-year-old Ibrahim Mousa who lives in Nierteti camp for the displaced in Central Darfur. They took him to an unknown place.

A relative of the kidnapped man told Radio Dabanga that three gunmen intercepted Mousa on the way from Jebel Marra to Nierteti and abducted him at gunpoint. “We do not know his whereabouts,” he added.

The incident was reported to police of Nierteti.

Traffic accident

In a separate incident, six people died in a traffic accident on the Wad Madani-Sennar highway at Shakabat El Jak village near Haj Abdallah village, after a travel bus collided with another vehicle.

The victims were all passengers of the other vehicle. They came from Wad El Nil in Sennar where they worked at the Syrian Cotton Gin factory.
