The number of cases of infection with HIV and AIDS that are officially registered with the Ministry of Health in South Darfur State is 166. A doctor with the United Nations – African Union Mission in Darfur said that the disease has become an inescapable reality in South Darfur. He noted that the number of undetected cases is much greater.
