15.000 Darfur refugees face tough conditions in Central Africa

Thousands of Sudanese refugees are forgotten in the Central African Republic, suffering from a severe food crisis without assistance since five months ago, a camp leader said.  A leader of the camp, speaking over Radio Dabanga, appealed to humanitarian organizations to respond to their needs of food, medicine and plastic sheeting. He called on the world and Sudanese not to forget them. He said there are about 15.000 Sudanese refugees living in Central African Republic in three camps. He said the living conditions and health conditions are difficult, requiring quick action to save them.
