He has been a state minister and a Darfur governor during the democratic government of Al-Mahdi between 1986 and 1989.Seisi spearheaded the formation of the LJM in February 2010 from various splinter groups and smaller opposition movements. Since its formation, the LJM has been instrumental in seeing through the Doha Peace Agreement. It was the only group that worked alongside the Sudanese government in the Darfur Peace Process.Tijani Sese was appointed as the president of the Darfur Regional Authority on September 20. Since his return to Darfur, Sese has been met with criticism from the people of Darfur.
