SPLM claims victory on 3 battlefields as aerial raids continue in South KordofanAccording to news from South Kordofan, the Sudanese Air Force launched an aerial raid on Kurugu, in the locality of Kadugli yesterday, dropping six (6) bombs on farm fields used by local citizens. No casualties were recorded. Arno Nicothelo, spokesman for the Sudanese People’s Liberation Movement (SPLM-North), said the movement had killed 25 soldiers and militias belonging to the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) and captured several soldiers and weapons. Mr. Nicothelo added the SPLM had successfully blocked three attacks by the SAF in the areas of Ibri, locality of Dlami; Angrto, locality of Talodi and Abolhassan, in the locality of Cdarno on Monday and Tuesday. “We want the government troops to know that we are closely monitoring their movements. We are prepared to defeat them on every attack they plan to make,”he concluded. Radio Dabanga tried to contact the SAF’s military spokesperson, but was not able to reach him.
