Deleij residents complain of lack of services

Residents of Deleij in West Darfur have complained of the lack of public services available in the area despite the rich animal and agricultural resources. The water, health, education and electricity services are in a bad state and deteriorating in spite of the fact that the market contributes six million Suanese pounds in weekly fees, said a witness to Radio Dabanga. He said there is one mixed secondary school missing a wall and one pharmacy run by a doctor and nurse. The resident called for local authorities to establish a secondary school for girls, a functional power station and a hospital with medical staff and facilities urgently required for the area.
