Kass agrees WFP process, Zalingei appeal to Kalma camp

Camp leaders at Kass in South Darfur have decided to go ahead with the World Food Programme’s re-registration process after four months of no food rations. The WFP said it would not distribute food if it did not update its registration lists. Camp residents worried they may be asked to return to their villages. A leader said the WFP met with more than 300 representatives to reassure them that there was no link between re-registration and voluntary return, and agreed a plan to start the process.
