Three girls gang-raped in West Darfur

Militiamen have reportedly raped three girls in the area of Goz Bagar, Sirba locality in West Darfur. A listener told Radio Dabanga that eight “government-backed militiamen” in the evening of 11 November assaulted three displaced girls while they were tending their farmlands at Goz Bagar, west of Manjoura, and raped them for hours. They released the girls the next day. The victims were taken to Manjoura hospital for treatment and the incident was reported to the police. The listener demanded from the authorities to put an end to the increasing attacks, abuses, and violence by “government-backed militiamen”, particularly against women.
