Air raid kills two children, wounds 21 in South Kordofan

The casualties fell on Saturday, when Antonovs and MiGs of the Sudanese Air Force bombed villages in Buram locality. The bombardments in East Jebel Marra continued as well.

Two children were killed and 21 others were wounded in bombardments by the Sudanese Air Force in Buram locality, South Kordofan, on Saturday, according to an armed rebel group.

The spokesman for the rebel Sudan People's Liberation Movement-North, Arno Ngutulu Lodi, said in a press statement that the Sudanese Air Force sporadically carried out aerial bombardments from Saturday until Wednesday in the area of Argas. He reported that the Antonov and MiG aircrafts dropped a total of 38 bombs.

On Saturday, a bombardment killed two children in Kacha basic school, named Osama Suliman (8) and Ezekiel Tia Drahel (13). Four other people were wounded, including a pregnant woman and her two children.

In Buram town, 17 people sustained injuries following an aerial bombardment. Seven houses were completely destroyed.

East Jebel Marra

The Sudanese Air Force dropped seven bombs near Dadei village in East Jebel Marra. A number of cows were killed, and tracts of farms and pastures ignited. A source in the area told Radio Dabanga that the bombs fell at 4:30 pm. Four fell north of the village, and three on the western side. There were no casualties apart from the dead cattle.
