Large sum of money stolen in South Darfur’s capital

A group of four gunmen stole SDG88,000 from employees of El Hadaf Company for Security Services in downtown Nyala, capital of South Darfur, on Sunday.
Speaking to Radio Dabanga, a listener reported from Nyala that four gunmen in a Land Cruiser without a number plate intercepted a rickshaw transporting three employees of the company in El Mizad district at yesterday about 11 am.

Speaking to Radio Dabanga, a listener reported from Nyala that four gunmen in a Land Cruiser without a number plate intercepted a rickshaw transporting three employees of the company in El Mizad district at yesterday about 11 am.

“They forced the employees at gunpoint to hand them the SDG88,000 ($15,450) they were carrying.”

The commissioner of Nyala locality, Abdelrahman Hussein Gardud, said that government forces were persecuting the perpetrators. “We expect they will be arrested soon.”
