Four killed, major cattle theft in Mellit, North Darfur

Four people were killed people and thousands of cattle stolen in an attack by elements of a government militia in Mellit locality, North Darfur, this morning.
A relative of one of the victims told Dabanga that a group of heavily armed militiamen in seven Land Cruisers, and others riding camels and horses, attacked the area of Sani Haie.

A relative of one of the victims told Dabanga that a group of heavily armed militiamen in seven Land Cruisers, and others riding camels and horses, attacked the area of Sani Haie.

“Four people were shot dead, among them Mohamed Hassan Hilal, Ibrahim Ali Mustafa, and a labourer of the Sani Haie well. The attackers took the nearly 3,000 head of cattle present in the vicinity of the well, and fled,” he said.
