Central Darfuri suffers horrific death

On Thursday, militiamen brutally tortured a displaced man to death near Nierteti in Central Darfur.
“Ibrahim Ahmed Mohamed arrived with his relatives at the Hamidiya camp for the displaced near Zalingei two weeks ago,” El Shafee Abdallah, Coordinator of the Central Darfur camps told Radio Dabanga.

On Thursday, militiamen brutally tortured a displaced man to death near Nierteti in Central Darfur.

“Ibrahim Ahmed Mohamed arrived with his relatives at the Hamidiya camp for the displaced near Zalingei two weeks ago,” El Shafee Abdallah, Coordinator of the Central Darfur camps told Radio Dabanga.

“They came from Sanga village, near Nierteti. When Mohamed heard that the militiamen who attacked their village had left, he and his brother decided to return and try to retrieve some of their belongings,” he explained.

“However, he and his brother were spotted. His brother ran and immediately sustained bullet wounds.

“The militiamen seized Mohamed. They crucified him by tying his hands and feet to a tree, put out his eyes, thrust sticks into his mouth and back, and then stoned him to death.”

The coordinator added that the wounded brother is receiving treatment at the Nierteti Hospital.
