Three women gang-raped in South Darfur

Elements of the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF) gang raped three young women of the Kalma camp on Thursday. Yagoub Mohamed Abdallah, the coordinator of the South Darfur camps told Radio Dabanga that “members of the Rapid Support militia assaulted three young Kalma camp women in the area of Sani Deleiba, southeast of Nyala, on Thursday. “They were returning from Sani Deleiba to the camp, when those Janjaweed seized them, and alternately raped them for a full day.” The coordinator demanded from the UN and the Security Council to put an end to the violence against the displaced, and bring those involved in the rape to justice.
