Three raped in Darfur's East Jebel Marra
A group of gunmen raped three young women in Tawila locality, North Darfur, popularly known as East Jebel Marra, today.
“The women, aged 18, 22, and 23, left Argotugo village in the vicinity of Khazan Tunjur this (Sunday) afternoon to collect firewood and straw,” a relative of the victims reported to Radio Dabanga.
“Five janjaweed on camels intercepted the women. They first stripped them of their outer garments, and burned these together with the straw they had collected,” she said.
“After that they took turns to whip and rape them.”
