Sudan ‘Security Services’ pluck student from university library

Agents of Sudan’s National Intelligence and Security Services (NISS) have reportedly arrested a level-II law student from the library of Alnilain University in Khartoum. On Tuesday, Ibrahim Adam Haj, who is studying at the Faculty of Law, was arrested while he was in the university’s library. A spokesman for the student branch of the United Popular Front (UPF) told Radio Dabanga that Haj, who is a member of the Front, “was arrested without any reason”. The spokesman said that he was then taken to an unknown location. He criticised the Sudanese security services for their “ongoing campaign against the students of Darfur and Sudan, especially those belonging to the Popular Front”.
