The citizens of El Radoom locality in South Darfur rejected the new charges imposed by the locality for drinking water, for humans and animals alike. Speaking to Radio Dabanga, a citizen from the village of Juwighein reported that El Radoom locality on Saturday raised the price of drinking water from SDG0.50 to SDG1 ($0.18) per four tins of water, from SDG0.20 to SDG0.40 for a cow or donkey, and from SDG0.125 to SDG0.25 for a sheep or goat.
