The people of Abu Matariq showed discontent with the speech deliverd by the National Congress Party (NCP) candidate for governor of South Darfur. Abdel Hamid Musa Kasha swore in the name of God that he will win the election even if there is no single citizen who votes for him. He said this at the election rally in Bahr al Arab. One of the attendants of the rally told Radio Dabanga that people were surprised to hear such a remark from a candidate who seeks to be democratically elected. Radio Dabanga could not reach Kasha or his team members to comment on his speech.
