Signature campaign launched against Sudan govt.

A Sudanese opposition group has launched a signature collection campaign to remove the current government.
In a statement on Sunday, signed so far by more than 100 people, the group called on “all Sudanese opposition forces to prepare for a civil disobedience action and set a date for the ending of the Islamist regime led by President Al Bashir”.
The statement pointed to the futility of the 2020 general election that will undoubtedly be won by the ruling National Congress Party. “The only way to save the country is to end and dismantle the regime and establish a transitional government,” it said.
