Security forces arrested three men in Malaja market in Nyala the day before yesterday.  Ali Mansour Hasabullah, Abdulrahman Niam, and Abdullah Al ‘Agalati were arrested on suspicion that they belonged to either the Justice and Equality Movement or the Popular Congress Party. According to a source who spoke to Radio Dabanga from South Darfur, the security services have not allowed family members or lawyers of the arrested men to visit.  This provoked fears among families of detainees and human rights organizations that the men are being subjected to torture. The source added that if charges are not brought against the three men then they should be released.
