Nuba Mountains bombings leave two injured
The Sudanese Air Forces allegedly bombed the villages of Kadar, Juba and al-Mandal in South Kordofan on Thursday October 25, leaving two women injured and several homes and farms burnt, witnesses told Radio Dabanga. Sultan Khamees Soba, civil leader in Nuba Mountains, told Radio Dabanga that an Antonov plane dropped two bombs around 09:00 o’clock on Thursday morning. The bombs injured both Sara Abullah Emo, 34 years old, and Amal Abdullah Warsh, 40 years old. Both women are residents of al-Mandal village; no other casualties have been reported. The sultan explained that bombs were dropped in the villages of Juba and Kadar in Dilling locality. He added that an Antonov plane dropped two bombs on each village. Sultan Khamees said that the bombing caused fire to several homes in the village of Kadar and damaged many of the farms in the area, he added to Radio Dabanga. ‘NCP should learn its lesson from the Yarmouk bombing’ On the other hand, Sultan Khamees said that whenever the NCP is defeated by the Sudan People’s Liberation Movement they retaliate against civilians by means of bombing villages in the Nuba Mountains. He added that the incident at Yarmouk military arms factory should remind the NCP of the following: ‘he who has the power to oppress the people should remember the power of Allah to oppress him’. He pointed out that the regime in Khartoum should learn its lesson from the incident of Yarmouk and asked: “if the NCP accuses Israel of bombing the Yarmouk factory, then who can we blame for the airstrikes on the Sudanese people? Who do we hold responsible?”, he added to Radio Dabanga from the Nuba Mountains.
