The population of Ghorni, a village north of Niertete were reported to have fled their village to Kabkabiya to seek safety. Earlier today all Khor Ramla residents left the village towards Niertete and Zalingei to seek security. The market of Niertete was partly closed in fear that clashes will transfer to Niertete.

Radio Dabanga reported yesterday about the start of the clashes between the two armed groups in the area. The clashes started after a person from one of the fighting groups was killed and the other group brought blood money. The group refused the money and insisted to hand over the killer instead.
