Lawyer rejects re-detention of JEM members

Defence lawyer Adam Baker rejected the announcement of Amin Hassan Omar on the re-detention of the Justice and Equality Movement (JEM) defendants.

Defence lawyer Adam Baker rejected the announcement of Amin Hassan Omar on the re-detention of the Justice and Equality Movement (JEM) defendants. The members had been found innocent or were included in the presidential pardon that followed the framework peace agreement signed between JEM and the government. Baker told Radio Dabanga that 30 persons re-detained, 15 of whom were never found guilty by the court and the other 15 who were pardoned by the president.
