Lawyer arrested in West Darfur town, not charged

Security officials arrested the day before yesterday Zalingei Abubakr Mohammed Abubakr, a lawyer. A source told Radio Dabanga from Zalingei said that Abubakr was taken by the local security forces from his place of employment without giving any reasons. The source added that he was taken to security offices east of the city. Human rights activists said they fear that he will be ill treated in prison. The activists called on the security service to release Abubakr immediately or grant him a fair trial.
