Kebkabiya man abducted and executed

A twenty-nine-year-old citizen, Bashir Abdul Rahman who runs a hookah place in Kebkabiya and lived in Amiriya west, was found killed two days after he was abducted.

A twenty-nine-year-old citizen, Bashir Abdul Rahman who runs a hookah place in Kebkabiya and lived in Amiriya west, was found killed two days after he was abducted.

An eyewitness said that the deceased was found thrown Al Shatta neighborhood and said that he was shot in the head while his hands were tied behind his back.

The witness also revealed that the killer of the victim was not identified, nor was the reason behind the killing.

In another report from Kebkabiya, eye witnesses said that armed men belonging to a local militia in the neighborhood of El Tarfi, extorted money from a local merchant. The militia, which is closely linked to the government, forced the displaced person Adam Ibrahim, who worked as a butcher in the cattle market, to pay the cost of a motorcycle which they claimed to have parked in front of his place and was not found. The witnesses revealed that armed men belonging to that same militia had driven the motorcycle and it was not missing as was claimed.

According to the local source, a number of citizens and traders in Kashaf contributed to help the victim pay the “fine” for the missing motorcycle.
