Health Ministry: ‘Sudan Covid-19 cases exceed 7,000’

On Saturday, Sudan’s Federal Ministry of Health reported 128 new coronavirus (Covid-19) cases, 140 recovery cases, and 14 deaths, which brings the official total number in the country to 7,007 cases, including 447 deaths and 2,556 recovered cases.

On Saturday, Sudan’s Federal Ministry of Health reported 128 new coronavirus (Covid-19) cases, 140 recovery cases, and 14 deaths, which brings the official total number in the country to 7,007 cases, including 447 deaths and 2,556 recovered cases.

On Thursday, the Ministry of Health reported 66 new cases in Khartoum, 24 in El Gezira, three in El Gedaref, five in White Nile state, six in Red Sea state, four in Northern state, two in Blue Nile, three in Kassala, one in West Kordofan, and 14 in River Nile state.

As previously reported by Radio Dabanga, the first flight of the European Humanitarian Air Bridge to support Sudan to tackle the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic arrived in Khartoum earlier last week.

On May 24, Radio Dabanga reported that Sudan’s Minister of Health has acknowledged that “the actual number of Covid-19 cases is higher than the official data“. So far, the highest number of cases has been reported in Khartoum.
