Gunmen open fire but ‘do not loot’ Darfur bus

A guard and two female passengers were killed in South Darfur when gunmen opened fire on a bus traveling from Nyala to Tulus. Militants did not steal anything from the commuters, except for the driver’s mobile phone. Witnesses added to Radio Dabanga that three people were injured, including a bus “assistant”, in the assault that took place on Tuesday evening in Umm Guraat, an area located between Al Tual and Assafiya.After confiscating the driver’s mobile phone, the gunmen “in military uniforms started asking passengers questions about their tribes” and then fled on their Land Cruisers.
