Four people were killed in a car accident in West Darfur on Friday.

A Land Cruiser, carrying 15 passengers from Foro Baranga to Bindisi, overturned on the road as a result of speeding, a relative of one of the dead reported. The group was on its way to go shopping.

Four people were killed, including the driver and a woman. The eleven other passengers sustained various injuries and fractures and were taken to Foro Baranga hospital for treatment.

The driver was a captain of the local Rapid Support Forces (RSF), Sudan's paramilitary force in Darfur. Some RSF members are known to provide a transport service to the local populations, which is generally less unsafe than people driving their own car.
