Four dead, five wounded, 100 missing in North Darfur attacks

Four people have died, five wounded, and 100 more unaccounted for following consecutive militia attacks in the area of Kuru, 20km southwest of Tawila in North Darfur. A relative of one of those killed told Radio Dabanga that on Friday, pro-government militiamen opened fire on a group of people who were sleeping in the Kuru area. The attack killed Shadia Mahmoud Hassan (27) years and wounded Nahla Ahmed Hassan (16). The next morning, while mourners were preparing a grave for Shadia, a pro-government force coming from Khazan Tunjur area in East Jebel Marra on their way to state capital El Fasher, using 21 vehicles, opened fire on them. Dawuod Jarel El Nebi Suleiman, Adam Haggar (50), Abakar Ali Bashir (25) were all killed outright. Adam Idris Basher (35), Adam Mohammed Saleh (25), Abdel Shaafi Ishaag Hassan (37) and Abdalla Mohamed (37) were injured.
