EU welcomes signing of agreement on implementation of security arrangements

In a press release issued by the European Union Delegation to Sudan on Sunday, H.E. Ambassador Tomas Ulicny, Head of Delegation, welcomed Sudan and South Sudan signing an agreement on the implementation of the security arrangements on Friday, 8 March, in Addis Ababa. Ambassador Tomas Ulicny described the signing as a positive step towards the full implementation of all signed agreements to resolve the outstanding post-secession issues between the two countries. The EU Ambassador also urged all parties to proceed with the full implementation of all the signed agreements and to continue the positive engagement in addressing all other outstanding issues related to Abyei and borders, in accordance with the communiques issued by the African Union Peace and Security Council, without delay. Also, he confirmed the EU’s support to the peaceful settlement of all outstanding post secession issues and praised the role of the AU High Level Implementation Panel in mediating between Sudan and South Sudan. In a press release issued by the European Union Delegation to Sudan on Sunday, H.E. Ambassador Tomas Ulicny, Head of Delegation, welcomed Sudan and South Sudan signing an agreement on the implementation of the security arrangements on Friday, 8 March, in Addis Ababa.

Ambassador Tomas Ulicny described the signing as a positive step towards the full implementation of all signed agreements to resolve the outstanding post-secession issues between the two countries.
