Sudden livestock deaths baffle North Darfur herders

Herders in Tawila locality in North Darfur have complained about the unexplained deaths of dozens of cattle, camels, and donkeys without any visible symptoms or apparent illness.

Herders in Tawila locality in North Darfur have complained about the unexplained deaths of dozens of cattle, camels, and donkeys without any visible symptoms or apparent illness.

Herders told Radio Dabanga of the death of 75 camels in Tabit, 21 cows in Janga and Dolma, and a number of donkeys in Shangil Tobaya.

All of the animals died suddenly and without warning. They showed no sign of injury or disease before they died.

The unexplained livestock deaths have been reported to agricultural authorities in the state.
