Displaced assaulted, robbed in Central and South Darfur

A group of former displaced was injured in an armed robbery on three lorries in Wadi Salih locality, Central Darfur, on Sunday. On the same day, a displaced worker was shot in the area of Lebeir, near Kass in South Darfur. On Sunday evening, a group of gunmen ambushed three lorries near the Deleig camp for the displaced in Central Darfur, one of the victims reported to Radio Dabanga. “The Darfur Regional Authority (DRA) had arranged our voluntary return from the Deleig camp to the areas of Faba and Arola in Wadi Salih locality. We were on our way to these areas in three lorries, when gunmen incepted us, and robbed us of our belongings, and of the food and relief items provided to us by the DRA, including sorghum, tarpaulins, mattresses and sheets.” Shot for SDG63 and mobile phone The coordinator of the Kass camps for the displaced reported to Radio Dabanga that three gunmen attacked Mousa Ismail Abakar in the area of Lebeir, 5 kilometers west of Kass town, on Sunday evening. “Abakar was on his way home, after he finished his work in a charcoal factory.
